 PITTED, POTTED OR PUTTED

Gen 37

It’s important for us to learn the steps that GOD takes us before we reach perfection.
Joseph is a good example in the bible we can consider in this topic.
He was born the 11th son of Jacobs 12 sons and Rachael’s firstborn.
His father made him a coat of many colours which signified how favored he was. Brethren our father have made us distinct from the world, and therefore “don’t be conformed to the things of the world but be you transformed by renewal of your mind.” Rom
This coat of many colours was worn by princes in king’s palaces.

PITTED
Israel's favoritism toward Joseph caused his half brothers to hate him, and when Joseph was seventeen years old he had two dreams that made his brothers plot his demise.
In the first dream, Joseph and his brothers gathered bundles of grain.
All of the grain bundles that had been prepared by the brothers gathered around Joseph's bundle and bowed down to it.
In the second dream, the sun (father), the moon (mother) and eleven stars (brothers) bowed down to Joseph himself.
These two dreams indicated that Joseph was destined to leadership.
Joseph's half-brothers were jealous of him. They called him this dreamer
When they were feeding the flocks, the brothers saw Joseph from afar and plotted to kill him.
Unaware of their intent, Joseph approached his brothers. They turned on him and stripped him of the coat his father made for him, and threw him into the pit.
Thus Joseph was pitted.
Brethren the bible says that you count it all joy when you are persecuted. JAMES 1:5
Remember that when you are in a pit GOD is there with you, even though people may abandon you JEHOVAH will never forget you.
Now tell me, what is the difference between a class 8 leaver and a graduate in electrical engineering?
Ofcouse the difference is the level of training.
The longer you have been in a pit the tougher/stronger/powerful you become. Hallelujah

POTTED
Joseph and proposed that he be sold. The traders paid twenty pieces of silver for Joseph.
Joseph was sold to serve POTiphar, the captain of Pharaoh's guard.[35] While serving in Potiphar's household, Yahweh was with Joseph so that he prospered in everything he did.
Joseph found favor in the sight of Potiphar and so he became his personal servant.
You will find favor in your place of work and whatever you put your hands on shall prosper in Jesus name, no weapon set against you shall succeed.
Joseph was made the chief administrative assistant and all the business of potipher were run by him.
Receive your promotion now in Jesus name.
Potiphar's wife began to desire Joseph and sought to have an affair with him. What a handsome young man. Be careful that your success will attract many enemies.
When he refused to sleep with her, she told her husband that he tried to rape her; this resulted in Joseph being thrown into prison. Through the lying intrigue of potiphars wife he was potted.
You could have been going through pitting and potting. There is a reason for it. Shout amen.
Joseph in the prison interpreted the dream of the chief cup bearer. And later the chief cup bearer was released.
Joseph requested the cup bearer to mention him to Pharaoh and secure his release from prison, but the cup bearer, reinstalled in office, forgot Joseph.
May be you have been there interpreting other people’s dreams and they forget you/ you can be there campaigning for a certain person but the moment he/she gets the seat they forget you for 5yrs.
Worry God will never forget you. AMEN

PUTTED
Pharaoh had a dream.
Joseph was called for, and interpreted the dreams as foretelling that seven years of abundance would be followed by seven years of famine, and advised Pharaoh to store surplus grain during the years of abundance.
Pharaoh then released him from prison and put him in charge over "all the land of Egypt" as a Prime minister.
Finally Brethren God is going to put you in the right time. Wait on GOD, be faithful, I believe HIS going to make you a small heaven on earth. Rejoice it’s your time; you are PITTED, POTTED or PUTTED.

UNDERSTANDING “THE SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME”

"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."
Some believers feel they must literally keep these festivals as in Old Testament times. This is not what the New Testament teaches. We must understand this metaphor used by Paul when he calls the feasts, the tabernacle of Moses and the old testament sacrifices " a shadow of things that were to come."

If you go out on a sunny day at sunrise and walk with your back to the sun you will see your shadow on the ground. . The shadow bears a resemblance to you, but it is not you. It is only a shadow of what was coming down to earth which is you.

If you were a mother one of your children seeing the shadow might call out,"mummy, mummy." but the child would not hold to the shadow.

Paul says the feast, the tabernacle of Moses and the Old Testament sacrifices are that way. They provide a profile, an outline without enough form to recognize what they portray. They show us the blessings Christ was to bring to those who would believe on him.
However, when the reality (of which the shadow was but a profile) came - we would all want the reality (Christ) more than the shadow.
  • the different "meats and drinks", clean and unclean, allowed or forbidden by the law, were emblems of the two people, the Jews and Gentiles, the one clean, the other unclean; but since these are become one in Christ, the distinction of meats is ceased, these shadows are gone.
  • The feast of tabernacles, though it was in remembrance of the Israelites dwelling in tents and booths when they came out of Egypt, yet was also a representation of Christ's dwelling, or tabernacling in human nature.
  • The Passover, as it was a commemoration of the deliverance of the Israelites out of Egypt, and of God's passing over their houses when he smote the firstborn of the Egyptians, so it was a type of Christ our Passover sacrificed for us.
  • The feast of the first fruits was a shadow of a believer 1st fruits of faith including being baptized of water and of the spirit.
  • The "Sabbaths" were also shadows of future things; the grand sabbatical year, or the fiftieth year Sabbath, or jubilee, in which liberty was proclaimed throughout the land, a general release of debts, and restoration of inheritances, prefigured the liberty we have by Christ from sin, Satan, and the law, the payment of all our debts by Christ, and the right we have through him to the heavenly and incorruptible inheritance.
  • 7th year Sabbath, in which there was no tilling of the land, no ploughing, sowing, nor reaping, was an emblem of salvation through Christ by free grace, and not by the works of men;
  • seventh day Sabbath was a type of that spiritual rest we have in Christ now, and of that eternal rest we shall have with him in heaven hereafter: now these were but shadow
